The Precipitation Suite

  1. I Feel A Draft
  2. Cloudy
  3. Rain

"These three pieces make up the Precipitation Suite, which has also been performed by the Rova Saxophone Quartet, and the Kronos String Quartet, among others.
I Feel A Draft : a portrait of Mal Waldron, one of my longtime musical partners.
Cloudy : Giuseppe Chiari, inventor and performer, 'Fluxus' composer from Florence, was one of my 'masters', in the late 60's.
Rain : I stole this scale (and much else!) from Cecil Taylor, with whom I worked for 6 years in the 50's."
