Notes: this album, based on an idea of Brad Graves, is dedicated to the memory of Thelonious Monk, Charlie Rouse, Ed Blackwell and David Chartok. "Interpretations of Monk" was originally produced by Verna Gillis for WBAI in February, 1979. The 1981 concert was accompanied by a slide presentation by Charles Stewart, a film clip of Monk playing "Blue Monk" (1957 - collection of David Chertok), a sculpture of Brad Graves ("In Walked Bud", limestone - 1976).
